Hydration Planning for Training, Long Shifts and Outdoor Work

Your day does not have to look like an advertisement for fitness. It might involve a long-distance run, hard rounds on the mat, a nursing shift, public-safety work, a factory floor, a farm, a climbing day or hours on a job site.

Those routines are different. We do not assume that everyone needs the same drink, the same serving schedule or the same amount of fluid.

Plan access before choosing a product

For a workday in the heat, access matters: NIOSH recommends cool drinking water near the work area and opportunities for workers to drink, rest and cool down. A packet in your bag is not a substitute for those conditions. Read NIOSH workplace recommendations.

Before your own shift or session, consider where your water will come from, whether you can refill your bottle and when breaks are available. For a long-distance run or a remote climbing day, plan those logistics for the actual route rather than expecting a product to solve missing access.

Water and meals still belong in the picture

NIOSH says regular meals with adequate water are generally sufficient to maintain water and electrolyte balance during work, while drinks with balanced electrolytes are another option during prolonged sweating lasting several hours. That guidance is about the activity and conditions, not an endorsement of ReForge or any particular formula. Read NIOSH Heat Stress: Hydration.

We do not position Citrus Strike as something everyone needs for every shift or workout. Check the label and consider whether the product fits the rest of your food and fluid intake.

A drink does not replace a heat-safety plan

NIOSH recommends rest breaks, cooling opportunities and controls that address the work itself. Those measures remain important whether your bottle contains water or an electrolyte drink. See the complete workplace guidance.

More fluid is not automatically better: NIOSH warns that drinking too much water or other fluid can cause a medical emergency. Do not use a generic website article as a personal drinking prescription. Read the NIOSH hydration guidance and cautions.

Where Citrus Strike fits

ReForge Hydration Citrus Strike is a natural lemon-lime electrolyte drink mix in single-serve sticks. Each stick contains 900 mg sodium, 200 mg potassium, 60 mg magnesium, 2 g total sugar and 8 mcg vitamin B12.

We provide those amounts so you can make an informed decision, not so we can promise that one serving suits every person or every job. Read the complete carton directions and warnings before use.
